Laboratory Coordinator (Microbiologist)

Qualification: MSc in Microbiology from a reputed institute, any third division/class in academic career will lead to ineligibility.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in a relevant position.Experience in TB Laboratory work is preferable.

Age: Maximum 45 years

Competency: Able to provide guidance and supportive supervision to all laboratory staff of the DF TB & Leprosy Control Programme on proper implementation and improvement of lab services, maintaining approved SOP/guideline / Bench AID. Ability to ensure quality laboratory services in coordination with related departments. Needs to contribute to research projects whenever required. Computer expertise is necessary for developing monitoring tools, formats and reporting. 

Key responsibilities:Ensure quality laboratory services, including microscopy, Gene Xpert, Truenat and culture and drug sensitivity testing (DST) in coordination and consultation with the concerned DF authority. Will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the laboratory work in different DF projects. Support implementation of laboratory-related guidelines, SOPs, and monitoring and supervision tools/checklists, reporting formats, etc. Represent the Damien Foundation Bangladesh in related forums. Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory reagents, supplies/logistics, registers/records, documents, preparing and compiling laboratory reports and equipment, validation and calibration of laboratory equipment and contribute to staff development.

Duty Station: Mymensingh TB & Leprosy Control Project based at Shambhu Ganj, Mymensingh) with extensive field visit
